  • Remain physically active and exercise regularly to make your muscles and bones stronger
  • Regularly get your eyes and hearing tested with a doctor
  • Keep note of the side-effects of the medicines that you take. Some of them make you sleepy and dizzy
  • Get adequate amount of sleep everyday
  • Limit alcohol intake
  • Stand up slowly as getting up quickly can make you wobbly due to sudden drop in blood pressure
  • Be extra careful while walking on slippery and wet surfaces
  • Wear shoe wear that is comfortable and fully support your feet
  • Consume diet rich in Calcium and Vitamin C  which strengthen your bones
  • Increase intake of vata-decreasing foods such as
    • Rice
    • Ghee
    • Boiled milk
  • Increase protein intake in your diet with foods such as milk, eggs, chicken soup, fish, lentils, curd, paneer, etc
