Chandigarh, March 08th, 2010:  Fem Care, India’s leading and number one trusted fairness bleach brand, today announced the winner of its unique consumer & beauty initiative ‘Fem De Sohney Sohney Mukhde Of Punjab’. After several grueling rounds at the grand finale, Ms Sabina Bumra from Amritsarwalked away with the coveted title of Fem De Sohney Sohney Mukhde Of Punjab and an opportunity to come on mainstream television.

 

Ms Navneet Kaur of Patiala was adjudged the First Runner-Up while Ms Rubina Pannu from Ludhiana was the Second Runner-Up. The other prize winners included Ms Gurpreet Kaur and Mazma Mohd (both from Patiala). The contest had received an overwhelming response with over 2,000 entries from across Punjab. The winners were chosen from among the 15 finalists who were selected after several rounds of screening and auditions held across the five cities of Ludhiana, Amritsar, Chandigarh, Patiala and Jalandhar.

 

Of these, 750 participants were shortlisted for the five city finales. The 15 city finalists were selected by independent judges following several intense rounds of auditions – introduction round, the ramp walk round and a question-answer session. The finalists from each city also underwent a two-day rigorous grooming session with beauty experts before they came together to vie for the coveted title of ‘Fem de Sohney Sohney Mukhde of Punjab’.

 

The Grand Finale of ‘Fem de Sohney Sohney Mukhde of Punjab’ was organized at Punjab Kala Bhawan. The event was judged by an independent jury, which included popular singer Baba Sehgal and noted television singer & actor Meerra Sharma. This pageant was organized to discover Punjab’s beautiful, flawless, fair face, a face that personifies the brand attributes of Fem.

 

The glittering evening of the Grand Finale, anchored by young and popular Nimmi Singh, saw the 15 charismatic young girls dazzling the ramp showcasing a variety of dresses to impress the judges. Each of the promising contestants brilliantly vied with each other for the coveted crown, demonstrating their beauty and brains during the Question-Answer session. The event reached its crescendo with the announcement of the winner. Ms. Sandy, Winner of Awaaz Punjab Di-2, mesmerized the audience with some peppy music numbers too.
